International Solar Development
NovalumSolar develops utility-scale ground-mount, floating and rooftop solar projects worldwide — combining European engineering standards with deep regional expertise across Europe, Southeast Asia and beyond.

Technology-agnostic, market-agnostic. Whether your opportunity is a reservoir, a rooftop or a greenfield site — we develop it to bankable standards.
Utility-scale PV from 5 MW to 200+ MW. End-to-end development — site acquisition, grid connection, permitting and finance structuring — from greenfield to ready-to-build.
Floatovoltaic systems on reservoirs, irrigation ponds and water bodies. We unlock land-scarce markets and combine power generation with water conservation — ideal for tropical climates.
Commercial and industrial rooftop solar for manufacturers, logistics, food & beverage and government institutions. Delivered for Fortune 500 clients across multiple continents.
Battery energy storage integrated with solar for dispatchability and grid stabilisation. All our utility-scale projects are designed BESS-ready from day one.
Who we are
NovalumSolar is a Dutch-rooted solar project developer with a global mandate — bringing institutional-grade development rigour to markets wherever the opportunity exists.
Our founders came from inside the energy industry — from grid operators, hydropower developers and energy infrastructure companies. That operational depth shapes everything we develop. We know how power systems work because we have built and run them.
We emerged from the heritage of a leading Dutch solar development company that delivered hundreds of solar installations worldwide for clients including Heineken, FrieslandCampina and the Dutch Ministry of Defence — before being acquired by a leading Dutch energy infrastructure company. That legacy of institutional delivery is embedded in how NovalumSolar operates today.
Before focusing on our current pipeline, our founders developed and supported solar projects across Southeast Asia — including activity in Vietnam and Indonesia. This regional experience gives us a practical understanding of Southeast Asian energy markets that purely European developers do not have.
NovalumSolar maintains a direct and close cooperation with a leading European solar development organisation, providing access to premium technology, proven project frameworks and supply chain security — ensuring our projects meet international bankability standards regardless of location.
We are backed by large-cap, publicly listed international investors with a long track record in global energy infrastructure. We are capitalised to commit, to close and to deliver.
Direct experience inside major Dutch grid operators — running distribution networks, substations and industrial energy infrastructure at national scale. We understand how solar connects to a grid because we have managed one from the inside.
Large-scale hydro project development experience — long lead times, complex permitting, community engagement and rigorous financial structures. We apply the same patience and discipline to every solar project we develop.
Floatovoltaic expertise unlocks opportunities in land-scarce, high-irradiance markets. Floating solar reduces water evaporation, improves panel yield through cooling, and adds value for reservoir and irrigation operators.
Backed by large-cap, publicly listed international investors with a proven track record in global energy infrastructure. This gives our counterparties the confidence that we will close and deliver — not merely propose.
Where we work
Active development across Europe, Southeast Asia and Africa, with new markets under evaluation across Latin America and the Middle East. If there is sun and the right conditions, we can develop.

ExperienceHow we work
We take projects from first site visit to financial close and beyond — no brokers in the middle, no outsourced development. Just our team, your asset, done properly.
Solar resource, grid proximity, land tenure and permitting risk assessed before we commit time or capital.
Local regulatory navigation from experience — Dutch SDE+, Southeast Asian energy ministries, European grid codes.
Bankable technical designs with our European technology partners. Optimised per site, grid connection and off-take structure.
Financial modelling and legal packaging aligned with institutional lender and equity investor requirements.
EPC coordination, quality oversight and commissioning support. We stay until the numbers match the model.
Get in touch
We work with landowners, developers, utilities, industrials, governments and investors — across any market where solar makes sense. Every serious enquiry gets a response within two business days.
